Zaffrani pick up headers are universal and can be adapted to any type of harvester by applying simple modifications (flange + gears kit + hydraulic coupling). Connection operations to the combine channel and head hydraulic connection operations are particularly simple and fast.
The special constructive shape and layout of the cloths allow constant maximum drive speed under any swath condition, reducing harvesting times.
Special technical measures allow incredible feed ability of the harvester, which moves without interruption. Harvesting speed is by far higher than other harvesting systems and, depending on the models, it ranges within 5 and 7 km/h.
The width of the cloths and the extraordinary resistance of the springs makes harvesting the swathed product easier. Minimised space between the cloths and a specific structure prevent the crop from being excessively shaken; therefore, we are proud to state that the loss of harvested seeds is lower than 2%.
The constructive features of the header and the special stainless steel springs with double torsion guarantee full harvest of the swathed product, excluding stones and foreign bodies harmful for the machine and harvester.
STURDY BUT LIGHT
Thanks to the simplified construction, Zaffrani headers are extremely light. This allows considerable fuel saving compared to the competitors.

C 72 STEEL SPINGS
Harvesting the crop mowed in the swath from the soil is possible thanks to C 72 steel springs made with double torsion. These springs can work on the ground without undergoing breakage or permanent deformations, thanks to their hardness and elasticity.
ZERO LOSS OF SEEDS
The total coverage of the crop harvesting areas made with cloths perfectly adjacent one to the other prevents dispersion and/or loss of seeds.
The consistent traction of the rollers is obtained by assembling special vulcanised rubber cloths (4.7 mm thick, with stainless steel junctions and inner nylon reinforced and anti-elongation cloths) to guarantee constant optimal product flow to the machine and prevent loss of seeds during the threshing phase.
The specific hydraulic control placed on the driver’s seat allows the operator to vary the number of revs of the collecting belt, adjusting the feed speed of the harvester in relation to the consequent product flow to be harvested.
ROLLER SCAPING PROTECTION AND RETRACTABLE FINGERS
Our head is equipped with a “roller scraping” protection device on the feed inlet of the elevator channel to prevent product back-flow. The header is also equipped with a “spring scraping” protection device between the springs and roller to prevent loss of product during the conveying phase towards the roller.
The conveyor roller has a diameter of 310 mm and spirals of 550x550x310. It is also equipped with 12 retractable fingers that hook the product coming from the cloths and push it towards the harvester channel.
The presence of the compactor reel facilitates the continuous feed of the conveyor roller and prevents clogging. The roller feed is constant and regular, as the harvested crop is continuously pushed and compacted to the bottom. This system is useful in the presence of bulky and particularly tangled products or of products swathed incorrectly, as it does not allow the swath to move above the conveyor roller.
WHEELS FOR A PERFECT HARVEST
Driving the pick-up header during the harvest phase is easy and regular thanks to the support wheels installed on the side of the collection belt. These wheels soften the roughness of the soil, which is important to eliminate shakes and consequent loss of seeds, and maintain the distance of the collecting springs from the soil constant. This way, only the product to be threshed is lifted.
THE VERSATILITY OF TRANSMISSION BLOCK
The transmission block is suitable for being used with side and self-levelling harvesters. It is equipped with torque limiter and its maintenance can be carried out by any operator.
